WHO WE ARE:
The H.E.R.D. is a group of teenagers who are passionate about reaching their friends and neighbors for Jesus. H.E.R.D. is an acronym that stands for His Engaged Righteous Disciples. We believe Jesus is our good shepherd (John 10:14). As his followers we believe it is important that we follow His example in everything we do and understand our role in His plan.
- We are His - Once we have accepted Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior, we belong to Him. We are His representatives on earth.
- We are Engaged - We believe that being a disciple of Jesus is more than just reading our Bible, Praying, and Worship on a weekly basis. Therefore, as believers we can't sit idly by, instead we need to engage our world for Jesus.
- We are Righteous - When we accept Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior we are "made right" with God. We also understand that being a disciple means we desire to do what is right in the sight of the Lord.
- We are Disciples - Simply put we are followers of Jesus. We know that discipleship means we have an active relationship with Jesus, following His lead, and teaching others how to follow Him as well.
WHEN WE MEET:
We meet on Sunday Nights from 6:30 – 8:30 pm in the youth room located in the church basement. We play games, eat food, fellowship with one another, and have a lesson time followed by small groups.
